Robertson Cooper appoints new managing director

Robertson Cooper (robertsoncooper.com), one of the UK’s leading well-being firms announces the restructuring of its management team from 6th April 2010. The firm, which specialises in employee engagement and well-being in the workplace, was founded in 1999 by professors Ivan Robertson and Cary Cooper. It serves a wide range of public sector and blue-chip clients including NHS Trusts, criminal justice organisations, central government departments and financial services companies.

In the light of the continued growth of the well-being market - particularly in the areas of employee engagement, well-being auditing, leadership development and resilience - the Board has made the decision to implement a change in leadership to accelerate the company’s growth. Ben Moss, who has performed various roles within the firm since 2001, most recently as business development and marketing director, will now take the position of managing director. Ivan Robertson, managing director since 2002, becomes the director responsible for research and product development. These areas are both at the heart of Robertson Cooper’s strategic plan and Ivan’s new role will be key to the company’s success over the coming years.

Cary Cooper, CBE, internationally renowned well-being expert and founding director says: "Ivan has done a great job as managing director and has led the company through a period of sustained growth. From humble beginnings as a university start-up in 1999, and with some difficult times early on, that’s a great achievement. Looking ahead, we’re entering a new phase in order to deliver some ambitious plans and I’m delighted to welcome Ben to his role as our new managing director."

Ben Moss says: "I feel very proud to be asked to do this job and to be leading such a great team of people. We’ve been supporting clients around employee engagement and well-being at work for a number of years now, but recently the market has grown significantly as businesses buy into the value it delivers. I’m very much looking forward to the challenge of developing Robertson Cooper over the next few years as we aim to go to the next level as a business"

The five company directors are:
