Read the Boorman Review and recommendations? Understand the key points? Decided your organisational responsibilities and actions? Aware of resources and support that are available to you?
Getting to grips with the key themes of the Boorman Review was the first step for implementing its recommendations, and to help with this we produced our original Boorman download,'The Boorman Report on the Health and Well-Being of NHS Staff: Practical advice for implementing its recommendations.' Now you've had time to digest the key themes, the next stage will be deciding what actions to take - which is where our follow-up download comes in.
'The Boorman Report on the Health and Well-Being of NHS Staff: Tips and tools for implementing its recommendations' provides you with a summary of our 'best practice approach'; this is based on our extensive work supporting NHS organisations to build and maintain employee engagement and well-being for their staff. Importantly, the download also summarises a number of key guidelines and resources that are available to assist with planning your strategy – you don't have to do it alone!
Some of the suggested resources are freely available on websites or are provided by your local Strategic Health Authority. There's also a brief overview of Robertson Cooper's products and services – we would be very pleased to talk in more detail about how we can draw upon our recent NHS experience to support you in this area.
The recent evaluation of the NHS and resulting white paper, Liberating the NHS, has outlined the substantial changes that will be made to the health economy over the next five years. The goal of these reforms is for NHS results to rank among the best in the world; a feat which will rely on the implementation of the Boorman recommendations to generate and sustain a healthy, productive workforce with high levels of resilience, engagement and well-being.
