Developing leaders to maximise levels of engagement and well-being

Our approach helps leaders to "keep pressure positive"

Keeping Pressure Positive for the Workgroup: Getting the Right Balance of Challenge & Support

The leader works on flexing his/her natural leadership style - especially on managing the risks inherent in his/her strengths. For example, over-use of assertiveness can have a negative impact on the performance of the workgroup because its members do not feel sufficiently in control of their work. This process is supported by the Leadership Impact assessment tool.

The leader also plans how to manage other factors affecting the motivation and well-being of the group (i.e. factors unrelated to the leader’s style), focusing on “hot spot” areas identified using the ASSET tool with the workgroup.

Responding to the Personal Challenges of Leadership

The leader learns how to manage personal pressure effectively and constructively - applying proven, practical techniques to challenge and reframe unhelpful thought patterns and reactions.
